The ministry has been authorized to file a civil suit against the NVPSKG consortium.
On January 8, 2004, The Nation, a Thai English-language newspaper, reported that the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry has been given authorization by the Thai Cabinet to file a civil suit against the NVPSKG consortium for 20 billion baht for alleged contract fraud and duping the state to buy public land.
