The World Bank will be launching four new projects in Macedonia in 2008, for a total amount of $175 million.
The World Bank will be launching four new projects in Macedonia in 2008, for a total amount of $175 million. A project involving the construction of local and regional freeways will amount to $100 million, with three projects concerning conditional cash transfers, developing policies and reinforcement of municipality’s capacities at $25 million each. The board date for these projects is expected in May 2008. World Bank Director and Southeast Europe Coordinator, Jane Armitage, also stated that loans in the amount of $220 million, with a possible additional $60 million, were envisioned for Macedonia in the next four years.
