Transparency at the AfDB

In 2003-2004 the AfDB reviewed its disclosure policy. BIC and few other civil society organizations made comments to the Bank on its proposed revisions and the Bank adopted a new policy in March 2004, which was updated in October 2005.

While some of the AfDB’s policy provisions are progressive, it is difficult to measure policy implementation and access to information about the AfDB remains problematic.
