Andrea Verdasco
Consultant, Latin America and Caribbean Program
Andrea joined BIC´s Latin American and Caribbean Program in August 2007. Andrea's work at BIC focuses on collaborating specifically in the BICECA project working to promote environmental social accountability in the Andes- Amazon region. She joins BIC with a background in translation and conference interpretation working for different non-profit organizations, especially those helping Latinos in the U.S. in health care and housing issues. With more than 5 years experience as an interpreter, she has been exposed to the work of the IFI´s, governments, ambassadors, and non-profits of all sizes.
Andrea is originally from Spain and recently finished an internship with Save the Children. She is the co-owner of a translation and interpretation agency in D.C. Andrea holds an M.A from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and the University of Geneva, Ecole de Traduction et Interpretation.
