The Bank provides assistance in several ways. In addition to providing loans, it offers equity investments, loan guarantees, grants technical assistance.
In 2005, the Asian Development Bank provided approximately $11.6 billion in lending and other assistance to its member countries.
South Asia received the largest percentage of funding: 39% or $4.52 billion.
Southeast and East & Central Asia received 33% ($3.8 billion) and 22% ($2.5 billion), respectively and the
Pacific 1.4% (167 million).
