South Asia

The Bank Information Center (BIC) opened its South Asia (SA) office in New Delhi in April 2005. The office was established to increase BIC’s outreach, capacity building activities, and support to campaigns around the international financial institutions in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

The BIC South Asia office completed a scoping report titled "MDBs in South Asia: Issues, Challenges, Opportunities" in 2006. The report outlines the office's initial work in the coming years.
