Mark Rentschler
Director of Campaigns
Mark Rentschler started as BIC’s Director of Campaigns in April 2010. Mark has over ten years of experience in MDB reform work including positions at USAID and US Treasury, where he coordinated environmental and social review of proposed MDB projects, policies, and funding negotiations; the White House; and the CS Mott Foundation. Prior to joining BIC, Mark served as the Vice President for Institutional Programs at Green Seal, the largest US ecolabel. Mark grew up in the rural Amish country of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and went on to earn a BS from Lehigh University, a PhD in geology from Stanford University, and an MFA in fine arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
