Katelyn Gallagher
MENA Program Assistant
Katelyn joined the Bank Information Center in September 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in Arabic Studies and Government and Politics and a minor in Middle East Studies. Katelyn spent the final year of her undergraduate career in Egypt and Morocco, studying Arabic and living through the Arab Spring. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine two passions through her work and research at BIC in the political economy of the Middle East. She has previously worked on political economy and justice issues as an intern with the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC, and also interned in Egypt with Caritas Alexandria, working on microfinance.
