International Finance Corporation announces new Vice-Presidential appointments

On March 30 IFC Executive Vice President Lars Thunell announced the reorganization of IFC senior management along regional and industry lines, as well as several new appointments. The IFC is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group.

Farida Khambata will assume the position of Regional Vice President for Asia and Latin America. Khambata has been serving as Vice President for Portfolio and Risk Management.
The new Regional Vice President for Europe, Asia and the Middle East will be Edward Nassim, current Director of the institution's Central and Eastern Europe Department.
Acting Vice President of Operations Declan Duff will assume the position of Vice President, Industries.
Regional programs have previously been included within the Operations and Portfolio & Risk Management Vice Presidencies.
The appointments are effective July 1, 2006.
