IFI Extractive and Energy Project Spreadsheets

Find out what extractive industry (oil, gas, mining) and energy projects the international financial institutions (IFIs) are financing in your country.

BIC has compiled financing data for extractive industry (oil, gas, mining) and energy sector projects at several international financial institutions (IFIs), including the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB), African Development Bank (AfDB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Project information was mainly obtained from publicly disclosed project summary documents from each IFI, and is available for each region.
In addition to regional spreadsheets, BIC has also generated tables of annual statistics – such as World Bank Group fossil fuel investments for FY05-FY06 (see below). BIC intends to update the regional spreadsheets at least every six months.
