Dr. Susanna Moorehead was appointed Executive Director for the United Kingdom in September 2008. Before joining the World Bank, Moorehead worked with the Institute of Development Studies in the UK and then had a successful career with the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID), holding various positions and becoming the head of DFID India in 2005. Moorehead achieved her B.A. from the University of York in the UK in 1979, and went on to complete both her Masters and her PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
