Ambroise Fayolle

Executive Director: France

Ambroise Fayolle was appointed Executive Director for France in September 2007. He has held several positions with the Treasury department of France's Ministry of Finance where he was the Assistant Secretary for Multilateral and Development Affairs, Co-Chairman of the Paris Club, and the Sous-Sherpa for financial issues in the G7 process from 2005 until joining the World Bank. He has also held the post of Assistant Director of the International Monetary Fund's African Department and then its Policy Development and Review Department.

Fayolle completed a degree in Public Service at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, before going on to study law at the Université de Paris, Sorbonne. He also achieved his Graduate degree from L'Ecole Nationale d'Administration in 1991.
