BIC to serve as NGO observer at the next meeting of the Committee of Participants for the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) that will take place on March 11-13 in Panama, Central America.
The next meeting of the Committee of Participants for the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) will take place on March 11-13 in Panama, Central America. Among the items included for discussion are the first two “readiness plans” (R-PLANS)—for Panama and Guyana, as well as new (or resubmitted) “readiness project information notes” (R-PINS) for the following countries: Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chile, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mozambique, Suriname, Tanzania, and Thailand. The R-Plans are publically available here. The latest round of R-PIN’s have not been publically disclosed by the World Bank prior to the meeting in Panama, nor has the full agenda of the meeting.
The Bank Information Center has been elected the NGO observer for the FCPF, and along with the NGO Contact Group, will be collating comments, critiques, proposals and questions from the NGO community. If you wish to make a submission, please send to or as soon as possible.
