Update IDB & IIRSA: Continuity in Question Exchange between civil society and IDB reflects uncertainty about IIRSA future 20 July 2009 Within the current context of a global capital increase proposal by the Inter-American Development Bank that would permit the Bank to triple its current annual lending volume, 20 civil society organizations from 10 countries demanded that the IDB not renew its mandate to participate in the Technical Coordination Committee (CCT) of IIRSA based on the inconsistency of IIRSA practices with Bank safeguard and operating policies.
