This week, three FOI (Freedom of Information) Practitioners -- Juan Pablo Guerrero, former Commissioner of the Federal Institute for Access to Public Information, Mexico; Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, Chief Information Commissioner, India; and Laura Neuman, Project Manager, Access to Information Program, The Carter Center -- participated in the Communications Network Forum to engage in a discussion from their perspective of key opportunities and challenges for the Bank in implementing its new Access to Information Policy. Several CSO partners were invited to participate in the Forum. Mr. Habibullah and Mr. Guerrero also joined the AIWG weekly meeting to discuss lessons of their experience in more detail.
The Translation sub-group met with CSO partners on Monday, May 17 to discuss CSO inputs for the new translation approach.
Key AIWG members participated in various AI policy sessions as part of the Communications Forum, including two all-day training devoted to training communications and public information staff on the new policy.
