Update World Bank approves guarantees for the West African Gas Pipeline despite outstanding concerns 4 December 2004 On November 23rd, the Executive Directors of the World Bank and MIGA approved guarantees worth US$125 million in support of a 680 km pipeline to transport Nigerian gas to Benin, Togo, and Ghana. The World Bank provided a $50 million guarantee to the Ghanaian government, while MIGA provided a guarantee of up to $75 million.
