Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Ms. Brandt served as Sweden’s Ambassador to Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, Comoros, and Seychelles and was also the representative to the UNEP and UN-HABITAT. She received her MBA in 1984 from the Stockholm School of Economics and Business Administration. From 1998 to 2001 Mrs. Brandt was the Alternative Executive Director to the World Bank and later she worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sweden. She is originally from Stockholm, Sweden.
