Prior to his appointment as Executive Director at the World Bank, Merza Hasan was a professor and administrator at Kuwait University as well as Director of Public Authority for Industry in the Kuwaiti government. He received his BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, his MS in Operations Research from the George Washington University, and his Ph.D in Management Science from the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine.
