Mr. Shaolin Yang was appointed Executive Director for China in August of 2009. He has extensive experience with IFIs, having worked numerous positions in the Ministry of Finance's International, World Bank, and External Economic Cooperation departments. He has also served as China's Executive Director at the International Fund for Agricultural Development and Alternate Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank.
Originally from Beijing, he earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland in 1990. He moved on to Old Dominion University where he received an M.S. in economics in 1992.
