Venezuela Pulling out of IMF, World Bank

Chavez said that the Bank of the South will be Latin America's newest source of lending and that it will be run by countries in the region.
President Hugo Chavez announced that Venzuela is going to pull out of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Leaders from Bolivia, Nicaragua, Cuba and Haiti, together with Chavez predicted that "sooner or later, those institutions will fall due to their own weight."
