Civil society groups frustrated over ADB denials

Civil society access to information is often impeded by the Asian Development Bank.

Civil society organizations (CSOs) have expressed their frustration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) over its failure to meet its own targets in its Public Communications Policy. The policy calls for the ADB to routinely disclose information, yet often CSOs are unable to gain access to information, even having their requests denied in certain cases. BIC, the NGO Forum on ADB and other CSOs have appealed the denials only to meet resistance from the ADB.
