Ashley joined BIC as an intern in August 2009. Over the previous 3 years, she worked on community and rural development projects, as well as human rights and environmental advocacy in Mexico and Argentina. She studied at the University of Wisconsin, earning a B.A. in Spanish and Hispanic Culture and a Certificate in Non-profit Management. She holds a M.A. in International Development Studies from the George Washington University, where she focused on grassroots development strategies and human rights in Latin America.
