Shannon joined BIC in July 2010 as the Asia Program Intern. She graduated from the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at UC, San Diego in 2010 with a master’s degree in international affairs. While at IR/PS she focused on China and international environmental policy.

Prior to graduate school Shannon spent a year in Shanghai, China teaching English and also worked in the publishing industry. She graduated from Fairfield University in 2006 with a B.A in international studies. A proud native of Maine, Shannon enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time outdoors.
